My name is Scott Taylor. I have been working with wood since I was a child. I built a box hockey game one day using my Dad’s table saw when I was 8 years old. My Mom heard me out in the shop and came to ask if my father knew I could do this. I, of course, said yes. When my Dad came home from work, he was proud I could do this, but asked where I learned how to use the saw and other tools to be able to build the box hockey. I said ‘by watching you, Dad”.

I suppose I’m a visual learner. I went on to make more fun items through my childhood both with and without the help of my Dad. I was ‘hooked’. I moved on to other things as time went on. building small toys, useful boxes and even furniture. If I can visualize it, I can make it.
